French toasts are our favourite breakfast options ever since we returned from Ottawa. Our Airbnb host April got us addicted to her easiest recipe of french toasts. I’m sharing the 2-minute recipe with you now. Remember to show some love by commenting below.
Ingredients
All you need are fresh bread slices, eggs, milk, maple syrup and some butter.
- Fresh bread slices (I like mine with cut edges): 2
- Eggs: 2
- Milk: 2 Tablespoon
- Butter: 1/2 teaspoon for frying
- Maple syrup/honey: 2 Tablespoon
- Optional: Vanilla essence/cinnamon powder
Method
1- Beat eggs, milk & very little maple syrup in a shallow dish.
2- Melt butter in a frying pan on medium heat. Lightly grease the whole pan using a brush.
3- Dip bread in egg mixture, turning to coat both sides evenly.
4- Cook bread slices until light golden on both sides.
5- Serve hot after pouring some maple syrup. You can also serve as a double-decker toast with syrup in the middle.
Do try these and don’t forget to share your experience with me. I will be waiting for your feedback.
