Where the past meets the present
We are happily exploring our new territory Nova Scotia. Today I am so excited 😍 to share my first ever travel adventure from Canada 🇨🇦. Day before yesterday, we planned to go to ‘Fisherman’s Cove’. We changed 2 buses and it was a beautiful 1.5 hour drive to the destination. It is located in Eastern Passage. This is a 200 year old fishing village which includes MacCormack’s sandy beach. There are three islands here which have fascinating stories: McNab’s, Lawlor and Devil’s Islands.
One can enjoy panoramic views of Halifax Harbour and Atlantic ocean. It offers visitors a peek into the past while providing a lot of modern day activities for the whole family. This is where the past meets the present. There are a lot of colourful shops which offer souvenirs, artwork, jewellery among other things. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes which offer great sea food and desserts. It’s a perfect day out for Haligonians & Dartmouthians. Highly recommended!
