Starting a mini travel series with Takht-i-Bahi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is an archaeological site of an ancient monastery in Mardan, KPK. It is exceptionally well preserved.
It is about 2 and a half hours drive from Islamabad. You have to trek up to the hill where the Budhist ruins are situated. It is an ideal stop-over on the way to Chitral. there.
