For the past 3 months, I had been suffering from Sciatica pain. It aggravated every night and whenever there was any sort of physical excursion. I saw the doctor, got a massage, used pain reducing ointments and hot showers but nothing seemed to improve it at all. Some nights it was so bad that it felt like needles pinching me.
My Airbnb guest/friend Anne saw me in pain and asked me if I would let her practice Reiki on me to help with the pain. One day there was a snow storm and she couldn’t go out for her class. She asked me again if she could practice on me. This time I had done a quick research on what Reiki means… I said ‘Yes’.
She made the arrangements and gave me a one hour Reiki session. It is a natural healing procedure which basically energizes the client using earth’s energy. ‘Universal energy’ is said to be transferred through the palms of the practitioner to the patient in order to encourage physical or emotional healing.
It is performed by peacefully placing palms on the client’s body starting from eyes and finishing at the feet. The client rests in the most comfortable position and silence is preferred for the healing process. Developed in Japan in 1922, Reiki is now used world-over as a holistic technique – a form of alternative medicine.
I felt really relaxed but honestly had my doubts as I really didn’t think this would help my pain.
I’m here to confirm that it’s been over a week since the Reiki session took place and since it was done, the pain has literally disappeared completely. It’s unbelievable! I’m just here to let you guys know that Reiki is real, effective and definitely worth a try!
Anne and I both share the interest in Natural products and procedures so we also spent a day at Holistic festival this week and learned about Tapping (a natural healing process). We are also attending mindfulness meditation classes and OMG it makes complete sense. I’m so shifting towards a natural lifestyle in general and natural healing in particular. Are you?
